In the accompanying commentary, “A Proposal to Abate Viewer Confusion,” longtime independent producer Andrew Walworth suggested that PBS reduce needless confusion by not having station-break announcements proclaiming, “This is PBS,” when many adjacent programs carried by PBS member stations aren’t distributed, funded or produced by the network.
